Place that only opens at end of month for payment, all kidding aside would that not be the emergency start button for use of house battery to start the coach

Nope...The emergency start button is below the dash to left of driver. I have searched high and low and can't find anything about this button or whatever it is.
Looked in owners manual and nothing shown. I know it pushes in like a button but it sure does't seem to control anything.
There is a 110v outlet on the dash not far from there I wonder if this turns that on? I'll have to check that out.

Any chance that could be a button to deactivate passenger air bag?

On my 2016, it seems more like a blank plug for a 3.5mm audio jack than a push button (likely used with some Ford OEM radios?). I believe the optional passenger airbag switch would mount below it. I found a couple of obscure images online that show it labelled "Line In" and newer images that show it positioned more to the left with a USB input to the right.
We're not the first to wonder. I also turned up an old forum post elsewhere:

One day my 3-1/2 YO son asked what that button is for:
Son: "Daddy, what's this button for?"
Me: "NO! DON'T TOUCH THAT! IT'S THE PASSENGER EJECT BUTTON!"
Son:
Son: "Don't you DARE eject Mommy!!"
He is his father's son!!
Seriously, I think it's a blank for an Aux-in jack.

Our 2018 looks like an 3.5mm audio input.

Ok...now that looks like it. Have you plugged anything in to see if it works? Funny there is nothing in the manuals about this.

I contacted Jayco about the same, they said it was the old aux jack for the radio before they switched to the USB port that are now using. I have the Garmin RV-BBT 600, there are two USB ports on the back of the Garmin, this is where the the USB port on the dash is plugged into. One is marked 500 and the other is marked 2.5. The USB on the dash must be plugged into the 2.5, if not and you plug an IPod into this port it will try to charge the IPod while playing, when you unplug the IPod the Garmin will tell it can’t find the map data and the radio will not work. You have to call Garmin and they will walk you through a reset.

I have this on my 2005 Ford E450 Jayco Granite Ridge. It is located on the left side below the steering wheel on the knee panel. Usually that button is a remote start tied to your house batteries. If your chassis battery is dead, then hold the button down and start the engine.
This assumes that your house batteries are fully charged. Temporarily disconnect your chassis battery and give it a twirl !!

It’s a magnet. The space is meant to hold a remote.
