Angry Buyer Beware

I ordered a replacement skylight for our Greyhawk from RV Parts Country and after a couple days I hadn't received a shipment confirmation email. Called and spoke with a clerk who got the tube of Dicor shipped right out and then called the vendor for the skylight to get them to ship. I did receive an email with a tracking number and did receive the tube of Dicor. But now over almost a week later no skylight. When I called RV Parts Country an EXTREMELY rude female clerk told me that any questions about missing orders have to be communicated by email only, and as expected there has been no reply to my email. Belatedly I looked at merchant review sites and found universal condemnation of RV Parts Country. Just posting so that other Jayco owners won't be swindled as I, and others have been.

Thanks, Please keep us informed of the outcome. I have never dealt with this particular company but have never heard of one that could not conduct business over the phone.

Hmm, I think I would have rudely told the clerk to cancel my order... but yes, please keep us updated....

Call your CC company and tell them the item never shipped.

I think you might be jumping he gun a little, larger parts like a skylight may not be shipped via ups or fedex and may take a bit longer, but there's no reason for the dealer to be rude about it.

Update - the delivery company driver had left my skylight at a nearby house by mistake - so I didn't get it until they figured it out and brought it over. I have notified RV Parts Country that I now have the part - by email. While I did finally get my skylight I can't see doing business with a company that will only talk to you when you are spending $$ and not when you really need help/information. There are too many other business out there that are not only eager for the business they there for you when things don't go as planned. Belatedly I did an online search for RV Parts Country comments - It wasn't pretty. Next time I will do that FIRST before using a new supplier.

I bought a skylight from this company RVskylights.net and the skylight was delivered as ordered. They custom make skylights so it took a week or so for them to make it -- this was explained before I ordered it. I ordered a polycarbonate plastic skylight, which is much stronger than the acrylic plastic Jayco installed. There is a special sealant needed to install skylights (not a standard lap sealant): Surebond SB140 If you order from this company, you have to drill your own holes in the skylight, which should be made with a special plastic drill bit.

Now this is the kind of response that deserves an "atta boy!!!" Great information and you took a little time on giving us detail. Thank you.

You should make sure to share this with the owner and/or general manager. They need to know they just lost a customer.

I would also let them know that you have put out the word about their bad service.
