Car seat

I have a 2020 Grey Hawk 20u. Is there a safe place to attach a car seat for a three year old?

I don't have a MH, but you can definitely get an answer by going to your fire department, or police station, with your seat, and they'll be able to tell you where, and how to install it properly. They are trained in that aspect.

The MH I did own years ago, had seat belts for the couch.

My experience

If the manufacturer installed a child seat tether in the coach it will be at the forward facing dinette bench.

Child seat tethers are not standard equipment and are not offered as options on all motor homes.

Some manufacturers will install the tether under the lower seat cushion, some will install it mid way up the seat back and some, like Thor, puts the tether at the top of the dinette seat back.

Your best source for info would be to call Jayco and ask them if a tether was installed on your coach.

What is a 20U? They don't make a greyhawk that small.

Also, check under the seats in the dinette area, you might find seat tethers under the cushion or plywood bottom to attach the car seat.

We use the normal seatbelts and attach them over the topside of the child seat and ratchet them down very tightly. Depending on the brand of child seat, there are molded recesses or plastic hooks to accommodate when you need to secure a child seat with a seat belt over the top.

In the majority of RV's, the normal easy attaching latches which exist in vehicles these days are not available. Thus far we've been satisfied that the seats have remained quite secure. This has been the case over a number of shorter and longer trips.
