Challenger cargo door, thumb lock plastic inserts

Hi Folks,

New member here with a new to us 2013 Melbourne 29D. I've found that the large exterior cargo space is secured with a lock in the center and two thumb latches on each side of it. My problem is that the thumb latches rotate inside the black cylindrical plastic insert rather than actuate the cam on the lock. Instead of the wing nut you turn with your thumb a quarter way to lock or unlock, the whole lock spins around.
Anybody have/solve this problem? I've replaced the CH751 locks with the nice ones from ILH and wonder if anyone's had a good experience replacing the non locking thumb latches as well.

Thanks for your input on this and all the other threads I've read with interest.

Achieve!
