Change shocks on 2019 ford e450 class c

Has anyone done this? We have changed front and rear sway bars to loadmasters also steering stabilizer which made a big difference. Thinking of replacing rear shocks to dampen harsh ride. What did you replace them with??? And was there any difference in ride??

I would look and see if you are bottoming out on the stops.
I have had that happen on a fully loaded coach.
Rub some grease on the rubber bump stops and see if it transfers to
the frame.
I have helwig spring helpers on the rear leafs and I adjusted them to prevent
bottoming.
Stock Shocks usually control the rebound of springs not so much
the compression.
If it is bottoming on the fronts look into SUMO rubber stops.
They are progressive.
Good luck looking

If you change to Bilsteins all the way around, you'll be amazed how much better the ride is. The factory shocks are not that good. The joke is their only there to get you from the dealer to home. Changing the fronts are a pain, but much easier if you have the right tools. One being a flex head gear wrench( the kind that moves like your wrist) the other being a small socket that Snap-On sells that fits perfectly over that oblong tip of the shock and keep the whole thing from rotating while you use the gear wrench.

I have a 2009 Greyhawk I changed mine, one was bent the others bad. I had to cut the fronts off with a Sawzall they were the hardest ones to install.

Hi, thanks for your detailed comments. We do not carry water and have packed lightly. Trying to reduce harsh ride. Dropped tire pressure 5 lbs which did ease the ride somewhat. Though by changing shocks would help soften the ride..btw we do not tow a car, use enterprise which is great..

We have the Bilsteins from the factory on our Greyhawk.
I am sure that they along with alignment spring adjustments and adjusting
air pressure are
the reason why this is best handling
class C we have ever had.
We use 65 front and 70 rear cold on a 31DS jayco.
at bit lower than factory settings

I don't remember which Bilsteins I got, but the difference is based on weight. Choose the one that's appropriate for the weight of your rig.
