Changing out antenna

Hello,
I am going to change out my batwing antenna to a new king jack hd. I have a 29ME. Has anyone done this? Will I have to fish wires or are all wires there with the original?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I just swapped my bat wing out for the king jack on my 5er. Just unplug the coax cable from the bat wing and into the King. I used King's mounting plate too.

I thought I had read somewhere that you had to run power to the king jack. Hopefully not! Thanks bookemdanno!

Nope...the power is supplied by the booster switch.

Will you gain reception? If so how much of an improvement?

I did gain reception. I tested in front of the house and I had 7 or 8 additional channels than what I had before. The meter on the inside lights up more lights with the strongest signal strength. Takes all the guess work out!

We did this in our 2015 Greyhawk. Took me about 2 hours to complete and a big improvement in channel selection. Plus days of forgetting to lower the antenna are a memory. Here is a good video showing how to upgrade.

WE just unbolted the Wingard from the lifting arm and bolted on the Jack.
The little light comes on when the Power is turned on at the amplifier.
Twice as many channels as old wingard.
