Charging house battery while traveling

Does a 1999 Class c Eagle 283G have a diode between the house battery and the engine battery? Any problem adding one at the aux battery relay terminals?

The presumption with any RV is that the vehicle's alternator will recharge the house battery.

Pull out your DVM and check its voltage with the engine off and engine running.

If there is no difference, find the link that should be there and repair it or install your own (heavy-duty) diode link.

Thanks for the reply and I know you mean well, If I could find the link, I would check it, The only link I can find is the aux relay. There is a dash button, it looks like the button may have stuck on causing the relays coil to open. I'm adding a battery isolator across the aux relay contacts and replacing the relay, I don't think the relay's coil is for continuous duty. right now, with the key on, the relay has power to the control wire without pushing the aux button.

the only link is the relay

The batteries are connected together through the relay, the coil in my relay is intermittent. I replaced the relay with a battery isolator. problem solved
