Chasis start assist

2018 29w Greyhawk Dead chasis battery. No problem just use the start assist on dash. Well, in spite of fully charged house batteries there was no energy delivered to the chasis battery. Fortunately had the tow vehicle available to jump. Any suggestions for why the auxiliary assist did not work?

First, I would check if the circuit breaker between the chassis batteries and the solenoid is not tripped. IF the chassis battery was discharged real low, the current draw between the chassis and house batteries could trip that breaker.

We have tripped our 100A breaker between the chassis batteries and the house batteries when the chassis battery was toasted.

Any chance, when the chassis battery is totally dead, the start assist can't transfer enough amps to turn over the motor or starting circuits? Does it require some sort of "base" voltage?

Not sure where the breaker is but will search. Thanks for the reply and help.

Could be. There was no additional power to the chasis battery. I guess I can try it again with the chasis battery charged to see if there is any appreciable difference.
Thanks
