Chassis battery drain in Cluster circuit

Hi,

2019 Jayco Redhawk 24B. Chassis battery drain of 480 mA when Cluster fuse (26) is in. What does the Cluster do? Any ideas what would drain the battery in this circuit? Any source for a wiring diagram? Is this something a Jayco mechanic can fix or do I need to take this to Ford service?

There is also an 80 mA drain when the Demand Lighting fuse (25) is in. Maybe related?

This started after my last trip, it wasn't always doing this.

Thanks,
Mark

Read this about Ford Expedition, it might tell you what you need to know. It seems 26 and 29 are for instrument cluster with 26 being hat all the time.
Best wishes, Kevin

Thanks,

That thread suggests I can run without Fuse 26 installed. I wonder what the instrument cluster needs power for when shut down, trip meter? I doubt that is drawing all the power. Not sure this gets me closer to a solution, though.

Makes me think Jayco used that circuit for something else, they way they use chassis power for the step, etc. I guess I'm calling Jayco next to see if they can help.

Good luck with that. They will most likely say, there is no way of knowing.
Pull the cluster out and see if you can see what looks to be spliced into the circuit.

I led myself down a false trail. I couldn't find anything connected to that circuit. I was checking it out with the doors closed when I heard a relay click. The drain stopped. It turns out there is a 600mA drain when a door is opened, and about 10 seconds after both doors are closed a relay clicks and the drain stops.

Currently I'm checking the voltage every day, but not seeing any drop. Whatever problem I had is not happening now.

I believe it has something to do with the step, maybe it didn't retract all the way and the light was on? I'm thinking I'll replace that light with an LED just to play it safe. Just guessing now, until it happens again.
