City water supply and gravity fed grey water

So two questions....We have a 2018 Jayco Seneca 37RB and use it for our race toter so been dry camping a ton at various drag ways. This weekend first time hooking up to city water and notice its a tight fit for the hose and the door. Seems like when I shut the door it bent it just enough for a drip as I noticed a slight water leak from the connection.

Also we have let our grey water gravity feed in the past on other campers and have left the valves open. The way this is set up you cannot open the valve and shut the door. No big thing but was wondering what has been the potential to allow this to happen with other seneca owners. We have the macerator along with the gravity feed.

I can't speak to the Grey setup of your rig, we don't have the Macerator.

We did put a brass Elbow on our water fitting on the Seneca - we leave the fitting in all of the time to protect the plastic threads on the Seneca from getting messed up.

It also reduces the stress on the hose and the fitting from the hose staying connected with the door shut.
