24' Jayco Melbourne towing either a 2013 Kia Soul or 12' enclosed trailer with Goldwing motorcycle. No issues with either.

Always had a towed. We are downsizing from a 35 to 25' motorhome and will still have a towed.

We tow a 2003 Jeep Wrangler with no issues. Have never driven our unit without it - would probably be a whole new experience.

Good looking setup.

Curious: What's the weight of that Colorado loaded up when you're towing it?

You seem to be happy with it, and I'm eventually going to put my Grand Cherokee out behind mine, so just looking for a little feedback how she handles the weight.

We drive a 31 foot Melbourne and tow a 2014 VW Passat on a tow dolly. This coming February will be our fourth 1060 mile trip to Florida from Pennsylvania.

Hey Camper Bob,

Thanks. The truck is listed at 4460 lbs according to the spec sheet. Once I get the bikes on and all the other "stuff" my guess is we are below 5000 lbs??? I haven't had it weighed.

As for how it handles...Awesome!!! Keep in mind that my only comparison is my old TT that was a bear to tow. With the TT if it wasn't crosswinds pushing me all over it was the Big Rigs. With my new set up I really can't even tell it's back there. We have traveled up some pretty good grades and I have been able to maintain 55 mph without any problems.

Not sure what the weight of your Cherokee is but I can't imagine you having any problems towing it.

Hope that helps.
Rob

Thanks Rob, that does help.

We're currently towing a 1994 YJ which is SUPER light. You can tell it's there, but it's nothing major. The Grand Cherokee is quite a bit heavier, but it's also a lot more aerodynamic; might help a little. I haven't weighed it yet, but I think it's going to be between about 4500 and 5000. GVWR is a little over 6,000 IIRC.

Anyway, we're not in any hurry to set that up since we're going into our busy season at work. The Motorhome will pretty much stay parked from late January thru May. MAYBE one or two trips in there ... maybe. So it'll likely be next summer before I have the GC ready for dinghy duty.
