Been using my Greyhawk since 2011 when we bought it maintaining proper tire pressure but never bothered to weigh loaded to see if axle weight was an issue. I've never had any issues, but recently read that many extended class Cs are horribly overweight on the rear axle even dry. If this is the case, I want to go and check how my rig looks and consider removing non-essential gear.
Does anyone know a good method for checking the weight on each axle? Is it as simple as just putting one axle on the scale and checking it against the numbers it is rated for?
Find your closest one. Best way to truly know where you're at is hit one on the WAY TO a camping trip this way you're totally loaded up to go. Fill up w/ gas before you run over the scales (most places have a gas station in the same facility). Then - run over the scales and see where you're at.
