Converter Charger Question

I just finished installing an inverter in my 2008 Greyhawk and I wired this into the coach by running a cable from the inverter to the power connection bay and made a 30 amp receptacle and I just plug the shore power cable and I have my connection. So now I need to find a way to disable my charger(plugs into the back of power panel/converter) when running on inverter power. Has anyone made some sort of switch that I can mount somewhere other than having to go under my bed every time?

Thanks!

You can install a contactor relay switch. The power wires going to your converter/charger would connect to the "Normally Closed" input on the contactor then continue connect from the "NC" output to the converter. Your inverter output wires would connect to the Normally Open terminals so the converter line will always be active until you turn on the inverter, at which time the converter line will be disabled.

Like what Tito did, yes! there are less expensive contactors than what he used though. I found one for about $10 on Amazon

This is it: https://www.amazon.com/Packard-PR341...78YCE8RQZZ78F9. But I did not end up using it since I chose to not connect the battery to the charge converter. Instead, I installed the charger that came with my battery and installed a (light) switch to manually turn on charger when I'm connected to shore power. It's not automatic but it's easy to remember.
