"Water overflow water loss" Installing valves on them, is not the brightest thing to do. Someday you will forget and the tank will burst or collapse and don't say you won't because you will.
The best way is pull them up and have them vented the same height as your Fresh water fill. Or better in your fresh water fill there's a connection for it (they used it for 50 years). The cost is no more than those one or two valves but is a lot safer.
Why RV manufacturers started to change to the low overflow beats me but was a stupid idea. Also when filling you will get the syphon effect which already let you loose some water before you even get on the road.
"Pay me now or pay me later" changing a tank with an underbelly is a lot of work believe me.

Flipping the screen did it for me. But it's a PITA, pulling it out and then back in and then back out.

So what I have done, when I want to fill from my portable 5 gallon jug. I place the jug next to my water pump where my winterizing pickup tube is located. Change the valve locations to winterizing. Then I go outside and remove the outside shower head, and shove it down my gravity fill port. Now, you could modify your shower head, to except a male hose fitting on the end, you could there connect it to the fill port, or add a hose and bring it around and connect.

Once connected, turn on the pump, and fill the onboard tank. When the jug is empty, turn off the pump and get another jug of water, repeat as needed. Once done, remember to flip the to use the onboard tank. Very easy to do.
