Sorry this happened to you. You may have hit something. Doesn’t look like a terrible repair. I know how you feel !

As a rule I always travel using my Waze GPS app on my phone in conjunction with my RV GPS. If reported by another driver, it will announce hazards and objects on the road. You just need to make sure you glance at the alerts, so many of the alerts are cars on the shoulder, you become immune to these alerts after awhile, like I did then I ran over a drive shaft on i95! But now I pay attention to the alerts! (After I got a blowout on my tow dolly!)

You can turn off selected alerts in Waze. That way you can not listen to 'vehicle on shoulder' warnings every mile!

At times I did shut off the alerts, but I found I really would like to know when there’s a car on the shoulder especially when I’m driving the motorhome. Do you know if there’s a way to change the way the alerts are announced? Different tones would be helpful. It would be good to differentiate a car on the shoulder versus an object on the roadway!
