DC Power not working

We have a 2007 Jayco Melbourne 29C and we have had this problem a half dozen times but it has resolved. But this time haven’t been able to fix. Our 12 volt power goes out …sometimes moving a a slide in or out. A couple of times just goes out. We have new batteries and bought a new converter. They check out on meter. He has rechecked connections etc. not an electrician but we have had RVs for over 15 years. We went ahead and drove to next site hoping it would jar it into working. We can’t put our slides out and refrigerator is not working. We are connected to shore power so plugs, microwave work. No propane or ac…HELP…

I am not an electrician but have had the same problem of low or no voltage. I checked fuses, breakers, battery, everything.
Well, almost everything. I took off the battery connections and cleaned the posts. Then I noticed the rings on the end of the battery cables were dark, not corroded with crud or much but just dark looking and not shiny. Sandpaper applied till they were shiny and NO MORE PROBLEMS.

After that I went back along the wiring harness and checked each connection for hidden corrosion and took off and cleaned my frame ground while I was doing it. It was the battery cable rings but the rest just assured me that a different one wouldn't pop up on arrival at a camp site.

If you have no 12V power whether or not plugged in, then a bad ground connection seems like the most likely cause. Have you checked the ground connection at the battery negative terminal and at the frame?

X2. If you have no 12v at all (shorepower or boondocking ) I would expand on this, and would look at the ground connections, starting at the converter.

If you have a bad ground between the chassis and battery, this would only affect you when boondocking. As the converter is grounded.
