Dead battery

Hi all. This is a new one for me. Unit is a 2012 Jayco Melbourne 29D. Haven't tried to start it in 2 weeks. Noticed that the power steps into the coach didn't work when I went in that way. Then tried to start it and nothing... The unit is always plugged in and the Progressive display doesn't show any problems. Everything in the coach seems to be working fine. Engine battery is less than a year old. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated!!
Thanks

In 2012 I don't think they were using the system to charge the chassis battery with the converter that they are using today it wouldn't be in play.

Have the chassis battery tested at a auto supply such as Advance Auto parts.

Steps are controlled by the chassis battery. I have to keep a trickle charger on it or it will drop quit a bit in a few weeks. The chassis battery is not charged by the converter unless you have a special relay that some new rigs now come with.

Agree with Jim and norty. I now have a small 20 watt solar panel that'll keep the chassis battery charged.

2 weeks seems to be a short amount of time for the battery to be dead. Maybe you need anew one?
