Norty,
Any chance you have the make/model number available for the thermostat you used with the A/C? Thanks!

That was one of the first things I did too. Replaced both with one going the Bluetooth route. It’s great cuz they’re both way more accurate. The Bluetooth model has an option for an iPhone app. Can’t say how great it is to change the temp without having to get out of bed! Anyway, highly recommend the change

Do I understand this correctly?
Is the Coleman 83303862 Digital Thermostat the one you use?
I assume this is an easy self-install.
So I'm looking at roughly $90 x 2 = $180ish+tax.

Install Honeywells at $24.00 each. Homedepot and lowes. Youtube is your friend.
I have changed out a Domedic and a Colman Mach.

I personally want one that I can control from my phone. I like to sleep in colder air, but want to be able to set it or turn it up when I am ready to get up.

No but you do not need them. But you can add one if you insist. Do you have hi and low at home? NO!.

This is what I used. I got the programmable one to get the backlight feature. I do not use the program option. Model #RTH2300B1038/U1 Just touch it and it backlights. Model #'s may change.

It was one of the best mods I ever did, and I'm glad I kept it to put in the MH.

Bob,
How does the Coleman thermostat differentiate between electric heat (heat pump) and gas heat (furnace)? The original Airxcel thermostat that came with the 29MV was selectable for either type of heat, but I don't see a way on the Coleman to choose one or the other. We use the electric heat pump much more than the gas furnace so I want to be able to select which one I want. I know that the gas heat will come on automatically if there is a big difference in the current temperature and the programmed temperature, but I want to be able to choose. Thanks!

Sorry, I can't be of help there; I don't have a heat pump unit. I would imagine you'd need a specific T-Stat to support a heat pump unit.

Bob,
Sorry! I saw you had a 2018 29MV like ours and thought they all came with the heat pumps.

I have the old analog T stat in my 2019 Redhawk 25R, I want a digital one, however, when my slide is closed I can’t see my T stat. So when we travel and stop for a break or lunch, I usually start the generator and I just reach behind the slide wall and click on the AC, slide the temp till compressor clicks on. I feel like if it were digital it would be a pain to try and change the temp without seeing it.
Now for $250, I could get the new WiFi T stat snd use my phone! But now I’d have to power up my WiFi mobile router because we travel with it off.
WHAT A DILEMMA !

Same here, Entegra 25r
To re locate it would be a pain. Seems to be fine for me. I'm in Texas, muggy , and the AC seems to work pretty well keeping it where I set it at

$90 for a thermostat? Plus, as a Canadian, I see "USD" coming after that. Ouch! Is this an RV premium or because they are 12v?

Don,
This is the original Airxcel thermostat in our Jayco. As far as I know, it doesn't have Bluetooth capability. Is it the same size/style as the one you now have? Do you find that yours is accurate and works well? Are you happy with it? By any chance do you have a model number? Thank you!
Ed

The link included in my original message takes you directly to the product. The model number is "Coleman Mach 9630-3361 Digital RV Heat Pump Wall Thermostat - Black".
It looks exactly like yours but definitely has bluetooth. Yes, it's very accurate and I am happy with it. My guess is if that you're happy with yours, you'll be happy with this one.

My Sencea came with digital thermostat. I know everyone thinks high tech is great. Buy for several months you never knew if you would get heat or not. AC worked fine. After chasing this down I replaced it with one of your "cheapos" and never looked back. The truck was catching it bad so you could test. You would be out and cold and not work, come home and start testing and worked ok. I'm certainly able to move a level back and forth to get the desired temp.
