Dirty Clothes

Where do folks with Greyhawk 29MV's or MVP's store their dirty clothes in their RV? There doesn't seem to be space for any type of hamper that would be sufficient on a long trip, so I'm wondering what creative ideas have people come up with to address this issue.

I think this is an across the board issue for many of us.

We use these things, which are fairly easy to squeeze into some leftover space, usually in a corner somewhere, under a counter, or in the TV’s truck bed.

When we had ours we put a pretty big laundry bag in the armoire in the back. We never carried any clothes worth hanging, so it was a nice place to toss everything as we used it.

One of the reason for us purchasing the Seneca 37FS was because of the bunk beds. The bride had the forsite to know we would need extra storage space and that is where the clothes hamper sits on the bottom bunk. If the hamper fills, we have tote bags with zippers and dirty clothes go in there until wash day. Those bags can stay on a bunk or sometimes even end up in the "toad" as we go down the road. Just what we do, hope it helps.

I guess it depends on several factors, how long is the trip, Is it convenient to was on the road, etc. We try to wash once a week, that's why I never have any quarters!
Our rig has a tilt out hamper, when it's full we transfer it to a mesh bag as pictured and it is placed in the under storage or the back of the truck.

We usually wash once a week.

We put a laundry basket in the rear wardrobe under the short hanging items in our 29MV. Like others, most of our daily wear clothing is in the drawers, so there is room in the wardrobe for the basket. During a long trip, we'll wash the dirties when we'll be at a CG for at least three or four days and use a folding drying rack that we keep in the curb-side rear compartment for "delicates."

X2, our hamper is nothing more than a plastic laundry basket. On a long trip we do laundry every 5-10 days.

We're just loading out our new 29MV, and ran across this very question just last night! We decided to drop a laundry basket in the back wardrobe. For longer trips, we like to keep up with the washing, so we would likely just wash when that's full. If we can't get to the wash, I have a barracks bag that we can empty the basket into until we can get to the laundry.

In the trailer, we used a hanging laundry basket in one of the wardrobes because we didn't really have space to have a laundry basket in any cabinets. We would do the same thing with the barracks bag. When it got full, we'd just toss it up on the top bunk until we could get to it, or we went home.

On our 28BHBE, we have a storage box we put a laundry bag(like the mainstays laundry bag that was mentioned above) into and it works out great.

We use the foldable mesh pop-up hamper until such time that we stop long enough to do some laundry or weekly whichever comes first. We carry 8 - 9 days change of clothes to cover those dry spells.

Next super C has stacked vs combo unit which is much faster to run through the laundry cycle. Don't know what the OP has or what is meant by long trip.

We use a pop up/foldable hamper and we actually store it under the trailer, at the back. Keeps the smell out of the trailer too.

Thanks all I really appreciate all of the responses!

My wife had already mentioned the shower option and I kinda like the small hamper in the closet option...so I guess the clothes will end up in a hamper in the shower! Lol

Cabinetmaker, where are you on this issue?

Our bedroom Television flips up on Gas-Struts exposing a significant space behind it. We have one of the fold up mesh laundry basket in there and it works out perfectly.

Too high and difficult to reach for the wife. That location is ruled out. But thanks anyway.
