DIY intercooler hose, Melbourne...

Has anyone changed an intercooler hose on the Melbourne?
I paid a repair shop about $400 to change the passenger-side hose this past March. Now it's the driver-side hose that has failed. Somehow, it ripped, with a gash of about an inch and a half.
I found Youtube videos but still am not certain how it's done.

Hi Thirdkym, sorry that this happened to you. There are a lot of videos on the web dealing with this issue, but it's hard to help you without some more info. What is the base van model, engine size, and year of your rig?

Have you searched on the Sprinter forum? I found this when I searched for "intercooler hose, ncv3".

If you search just for intercooler hose on the Sprinter forum there are a lot of older version threads. You can't have that many miles so I am surprised you had this issue come up. Emissions issues are the most likely problems with these engines.
