doghouse insulation

We found on our 2013 Jayco Melbourne the the doghouse on the passenger side gets uncomfortably hot after long trips, has anyone else experienced this on their RV? We were wondering if anyone has and how they addressed the issue. We have thought about removing the dog house and adding insulation to the inside but would like to hear any thoughts or ideas.

I have measured temps of 130f at the floor. Someone has mentioned some space age insulation that could be added under the cosach to deflect the heat. Fortunate for me, my DW likes it warmer on her side.

do a google search for "Lizard Skin" it is a spray-able insulation that can go on the inside of the dog house

Dynamat might be a solution as well.

I found that there is nothing under the carpet in the cab area in my Melbourne. I put Dynamat under the entire cab floor under the carpet. It seems to have made some difference. We still get heat mostly when we are in stop and go traffic.
