Absolutely spot on Cajun. I have a small crack starting and my rigs brand new. Spotted it after on a couple operations of the slide. But I haven't been in any rain. I was thinking it develops when the slide snugs in? Not sure

Had a similar situation in our last fifth wheel. Rotted the slide floor.

Yes, all Seneca owners need to recaulk the picture frame surrounding each slide! I was a similar victim. The most professional way is to tape the gaps off on both sides with painters table for a crisp, narrow caulk line.

Me neither but I assure you the water leak is through the gap between the picture frame molding and the slide wall. Check your gaps!

Problem was the slide for the bed was high enough that I couldn't see it. Don't know how long it's been open. Replace the wood and giving Flex Seal a try with new caulking.

I think the slide snugging up doesn't help. Back and forth on the trim and a piss ant strip of caulk and then you have a leak. Check also the tracks on the slide. The top wasn't caulked and the bottom was missing screws!

That's not the entry point for the water, it is the gap between the picture frame molding and the slide wall. Caulk those properly and you'll be fine. Do this for all three slides.

Norty, if you put your finger on the wall of the slide, then slowly run it to the bottom, your finger will hit that joint that extends all the way across the bottom
of the slide. Its a known water leak problem. When water gets in there, it goes to the bottom area, makes a 90 degree turn so to speak, and destroys the bottom of the slide and enters the coach and does serious damage. I might add this applies to Greyhawk owners too.

What Crossing Over said is correct. This is a well documented problem with the Seneca slides with even a YouTube video on how to fix. My question is do you need to remove all old silicon first?

I found 'a' youtube of it... definitely shows the 'picture frame' and where the gaps are that can let water in. We'll be adding this one to our inspection list!

Been watching this like a hawk on my 2017 FS. Looks like Jayco is paying better attention to this issue as all the frames appear to be caulked very well. Will continue to monitor closely though as these slide walls do flex quite a bit when they move.

When installing the T-moldings, there is supposed to be butyl wrapped on the seam first. Sealer is the secondary defense. If just sealer, everybody would have this issue.

No butyl seal. Just on the bottom. There was no sealant behind the corner pieces that cover the mitered part of the frame. That's another leak spot I found. Another case of shoddy workmanship.

First one is the seam opened up at the bottom of the slide. The second is the $1100 custom mattress I had made that's ruined.

Our 2016 TS has a leak at the top of the large living room slide which damaged the interior molding at the top of the slide, could this be the same issue?
