Door rattles while driving

We are on our first road trip with Greyhawk 2021 bunkhouse and the door is rattling something aweful while we drive. It’s like it’s. It sealed or closed!! I’m so nervous it will pop open and we have kids and dogs with us!

On some of these rigs, it could be the latch and strike that needs adjustment, because it doesn't pull the door tight enough when it closes. I had to adjust mine when it came home.

If the rattling is coming from the top or bottom edges, some doors needed a little bit of tweaking to tighten them up. You put a 2x4 at the latch area, then lean in on the top and bottom of the door to "flex" it inward a bit. These doors are thin and bend easily. This will help make a tighter seal at the top and bottom.

Lastly, take some silicone spray, and spray all around the rubber door seal, which helps with the squeaks.

What door? If it's the side entrance, it's not that difficult to adjust the latch / striker plate deal. I had the opposite problem, it was next to impossible to open!

Should keep it locked with the deadbolt while driving as well.

I have a 2018 Greyhawk 29 MV. Don't waste your time adjusting the latch the wind load on the door is too much, especially in high winds, to over come. Get some 3M D channel weather stripping with the adhesive backing and install it where the door seals to the frame. It solved the problem. it makes the door hard to close at first but compresses overtime. No more rattling and whistling. I always keep the deadbolt locked when driving.

I purchased a 2020 Greyhawk and the door was hard to latch and did rattle. Took to dealer and there was some sort of packing material that was installed from the factory that was not remove from the striker plate. Once removed the door worked like a charm. I did have a problem with the screen door rattling while driving and found out the kick panel at the bottom was rattling so I applied some caulk around that panel and it stopped it.

for me it was just a matter of tightening the strike plate bolts.

I didn't say it was difficult just ineffective.

Worked ok on my door.. I'm sure all doors are different, but it costs nothing and a few minutes to try and adjust it before adding a bunch of weather stripping.
