door shock broke out of aluminum strip.

I have the super C and the shock that keeps the door open and not slamming against the cab has broke out of the aluminum floor where the ball socket is that attaches it. has anyone had this problem and if so how did you repair it? can not do what jayco did with it as i feel its a bad design.

Mine hasn't broken yet on my Melbourne but I'm just waiting on it to happen. Horrible design! When it does, I'll have a "manual" door and move on with life.

Door shock

Mine came close to breaking last season. Jayco replaced the strut under warranty as it was not damping enough when the door opened, thus causing stress on the ball joint. I tried to remove the sill to tighten the concealed nut but could not figure out how to get it off without destroying it.

Poor design

I have expected ours to break - it moves in the hole and I'm concerned about the condition of the hole but I also couldn't figure out how to get it off
