Door vibrating on Melbourne 24K

Hi Again,

Our door is vibrating like crazy in high winds or and high speed. It is the upper corner that is flexing. In some conditions we see daylight between the door and door frame. (Upper aft corner)

Is there a fix for this?

I did see someone recommending putting a 2x4 between the jam and the door and bend the door. I did try that but was afraid to put to much pressure. I believe it improved the door a little bit.

Maybe they will chime in but I think another user here had the same issue but had it replaced under warranty.

I did that, put the 2x4 at the latch, and flexed the door, on my rig with a rattling door and wind noise. I helped my situation. Plus, sprayed all around the gasket with silicone helped too.

Ours whistled (very annoyingly) and rattled when we first bought it. We put on extra weather stripping at the top, and that definitely made a huge difference. When the wind is blowing hard (I mean 25+) and we're at just the perfect direction and speed, it still makes noise. Guarantee you'll never have a silent ride. We never considered bending the door!

We have a Melbourne too. 2017. 24M, with the Murphy bed.
The issue: the rubber seals on the slideout are drying out. One has a tear of about 8 inches. Does anyone know how they attach? The seal seems to slide under or into a metal piece that runs verticall along the slideout when it's extended. Thanks in advance for any help....

Also: Have a Hellwig anti-sway coming. It's due in mid-August.
Hellwig person told me on the phone the other day they have 196 of the sway bars on back order....!
Will install it myself...and hope for an improvement...

Looking at recpro.com it looks like some have tape backing and others are a push in or a slide in type. I think mine are the slip in type verses tape But I can’t say for sure.

303 makes a seal protectant that I used a couple of times. Thanks for reminding me to apply it again. Don’t know if it would have helped you though.

To Pfflyer: Recpro sure does have a lot of options. I just have to figure out which seal I need for my particular RV...I might have to remove screws that hold the metal piece onto the side of the coach -- and then hope that helps me determine which actual rubber seal to use...........Thanks....

The attached picture is what mine looked like after about 6 months. Had it repaired under warranty but I thought I had a part or website saved just in case it happened again. I got the part # from the dealer paperwork or somewhere but I cant find it right now. I will look in the RV later and see if it is there. These pictures represent what it looked like on both slides.

We apply Protect All Slide-out Rubber Seal Treatment to the rubber flappers on each side of the slide at the beginning and end of each season. Good stuff.

Run a 3m D channel seal all the way around the door. It's self adhesive and is an easy install. At first the door will be hard to close that mitigates with time. seals the door wlll no wind noise or rattles.
