Drilling through slide out

I just bought 2018 entgra qwest 24L.
Dinette was removed n Thomas Payne electric recliners put in. They’re beautiful but not attached to floor. My question is can I drill up three slide out obviously not in way of tracking. Looks like plywood with foam in between. Foam like 2 inches deep plywood like quarter inch on top n bottom of foam.
Can I drill from bottom up n put bracket in?
Any words of advice don’t like how recliners. Not attached

I added the electric recliners but all I did was take short wood screws and go right through the slotted frame of the chairs into the floor of the slide.

How long were the screws?
And how many did you put in each chair?
Thank you so much

My dinette slide out had seat belts for 2 passengers. I used the 4 factory holes drilled in the floor with 2" and 1-1/2 aluminum angle and bolted the rear feet of the recliners to the angle and the angle to the floor with the seat belt bolts in the 4 factory holes. Front feet bolted through the metal of floor frame on the front edge. As another safety measure while driving I installed the seat belts with the original bolts and strap the chairs down. Have no idea how this would hold up in an accident, but I believe I have done the best I can to mitigate the chance of the chairs becoming projectiles.

I believe they were 1 inch wood screws. I basically just held it up against the frame of the chair and sized them by eye. I used 4 per chair, 1 in each corner.

Not sure if this would help in your decision or not, but when the factory drilled through the floor on my unit for the seat belts, they drilled through part of the metal frame of the slide and counterbored all the foam so that none of the bolts are through the foam. They also used large fender washers on the underside. If your floor is mostly 1/4 ply on top, wood screws may keep the chairs in place going around turns but that is about all I would expect. 3/4 ply would be better, but I wouldn't trust 4 wood screws to hold 50 to 100lbs in an accident or hard braking situation either way. This would not be as critical in a pull behind but right behind the cockpit I would think it would be very critical.

Why are you wanting to attach them? Do they have seat belts?

To keep them in place while driving and God forbid in an accident. The OP has a class C and I think if his recliners are like mine, are right behind the driver's seat.

Ahh, very good point. I am used to thinking about the world as a trailer (even though I have a class A now). Things don't need secured in the same way in them- gravity takes care of them but you don't have the same accident/projectile concerns in them.
