Drivers compartment space

Can’t get to back of coach without exiting the drivers compartment or removing the console. Is there a smaller after market console for the Ford 450?

What other work arounds

Thanks

What console? My unit doesn't have anything between the front seats except the engine cover.

Ford. 450 console

It looks like an engine cove but isn’t. It is just a large plastic cover that attaches to the dash. It has 2 cup holders plus storage but is basically hollow and takes up lots of room making it difficult or impossible if you are and older driver or passenger trying to get to the rear without exiting the coach

Look at this thread. That whole cup holder/ storage bin assembly can be lifted off the dog house and removed, which should give you more room.

It will look like this with that assembly removed:

Thanks

It does look exactly as you sho. Problem is if we remove we still need a cup holder and place to put cell phone. Besides it looks unfinished. It would be nice if a smaller version hooked on leaving space to move to the back. Someone must have come up with a good answer besides leaving it off

We have the same issue with our '02 Designer 3230. My girlfriend is very small just five feet tall and I am six three. For both of us with the cup holder shell hooked on the engine cover, moving from the cab back into the motor home is an escape act. We need more time and experience in the rig to come up with a workable solution but just to let you know, it's a real problem. This thread will be of considerable interest to us.

Question Thanks but

Really need cup holder and cell phone. Seems that Ford and Jayco should have come up with something that did not take up all that leg space. Still looking but appreciate the suggestions. Ours is on a 450 chassis
