Dual Receiver Hitch for Seneca

Looking for guidance on dual receiver hitch for our rig. Towing the Jeep and want to add a bike rack on the Seneca hitch. Many different one on Amazon, various loads, appreciate any quick guidance. (I cannot attach hitch to back of Jeep as the spare tire sticks out too far.)

Thanks
Terry
Heading to Perry Next Week!

I don't like them, you end up with a lot of chucking from the adapter because it dose not fit tight.

We do the same thing, tow a car and have a bike rack. You have to be careful as some of them are not rated high enough to tow some cars. We bought the Roadmaster as the entire adapter is rated at 10000 lbs. We also use the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch to alleviate any issues with the adapter moving around. They both work really well.

I flat tow my Jeep wrangler and bought a good Saris hitch mount bike rack for the Jeep. I added a hitch extension on the Jeep so it clears my 35 inch spare tire. I am real happy with my set up.

Many of the bike racks are are not intended for use on a motorhome, or so the manufactures say.

Dual Receiver Hitch for Seneca

As Mark S pointed out, you can add an extension to your Jeep's receiver. This would be your best option assuming you always go with a toad. More importantly, be sure you get the hitch for your Seneca that has the proper alignment with your Jeep. I use a Roadmaster hitch with a 6 inch drop.

I do the same as listed above....
I have a hitch extension bolted to the bike rack.
Bike rack clears the 35x12.50 tire and the bolt takes out the slop between the rack and the extension.

I have also run a large heavy duty zip tie around the top of the bike rack and through the rim of the spare.
Doing that takes absolutely all wiggles out of the bike rack but it is kinda overkill.

We do the same as above. My big concern now is my small stock tires on the Jeep. All you guys running 35's on your Jeeps. Going to have to let DW know we need an upgrade.

I use one of these four hole Gen-Y, Made in USA, receiver. I don't use all three at once to often but have, WDH in bottom hole, bike rack, and outboard motor carrier in top hole. They come in various shank sizes and hole configurations.

OMG! Stock tires on a Jeep. You need to fix that ASAP. 😂

Does it count if one of them has 35's?

I use a Roadmaster dual hitch on my Greyhawk to tow our Jeep and mount a spare tire. I also use their Quiet Hitch anti rattle device. Works great and the hitch comes in several different drop lengths to keep your tow bar on the correct plane.

I just picked up my new Seneca today, drive the Jeep down to pick up and towed it home....yes it has 35’s like all Jeeps should. . Anyway I haven’t really looked at the Seneca frame yet, but being a truck frame, I should be able to do the same thing I did on my Winnebago and add 2 receiver tubes for accessories. I hav a rack to haul motorcycle and one that hauled kayaks vertical and one that held bikes that I could use depending on what we were doing and still be able to tow a vehicle or trailer. When I get around to doing it, I will post pics. Here is a pic of the Bago and our new Seneca.
