Electric steps

Jayco Redhawk 31xl 2013. Steps will not turn off. Any suggestions?

Can you be more specific? Normally there is no way to turn them off . . .

Will not turn off with wall switch. Either position steps will retract when door is closed.

Yes engine off parking brake set. Worked before now it won’t.

I wonder if the switch could be faulty? Does it seem to "click" in both positions or has the feel of it changed? If the contacts are being finicky try cycling it several times and see if anything changes.

Yes and pulled switch from wall unplugged and replugged. Shook wires around steps.

Do the steps stay out if you disconnect one wire from the switch?

No solution as of yet. On a trip currently and will do further troubleshooting upon return. Removed magnet as as temporary fix to keep steps extended.
