I have a 2017 29MV. The entry door is on a gas cylinder that limits how much it opens to like 90 degrees max so it will not hit the awning bracket. Over time as wind would blow on the door and bounce it back and forth against the gas cylinder stop, this has caused the screws on the lower hinge of the main entry door to work loose. I have retapped them and tried putting a little JB weld on the screws but they have still worked loose again and again over time.
Anyone else have this issue with the screws on the lower hinge?
If so what have you done to fix it?
On commercial doors and frames, we use a item called a riv-nut. Short explanation, threaded pop rivet. Next step is a sex nut. Drill hole thru door, insert sex nut and install bolt/screw from the inside. We don't work on doors thinner than 1 3/8 thick usually.
I used your advice on using Rivet-Nuts. It worked perfectly. Thanks!!
