Going to be accepting delivery of a new Redhawk 26X1 next week. Among the offerings the dealer is pushing are:
- Extended Warranty 7yrs/75k miles $4,778
- Enviro/Guard paint sealant $1,481
- Vinyl/Leather & Fabric sealant $607
- Tyron flat tire protection (front wheels only) $1,887
The Jayco 2 year bumper to bumper warranty would be primary, as would the GM (this is the Chevy 4500 chassis) 3 year/36K mile warranty. So, the extended warranty would really be 5 years on the coach and 4 years on the Chevy chassis.
Is it just me, or does spending another $8,750+ seem a little excessive?
I think I could get a lot of cleaning/detailing and tires for that amount of money. This is my first RV purchase, so any and all advice is appreciated.
