Extended Warranty For Coleman A/C

After just replacing a 3.5 year old Mach 15 HP, I see that Airxcel offers a 3 year extended warranty for $89.95. It is a parts only warranty. I was wondering if anyone has purchased it and if they ever made a claim. The past RV's I have had, even one 12 years old, I never had any trouble with the AC. Seems like they don't make em like they used to.

Never had an extended warranty on either one. The only problem with our 1996 Wilderness was rusted off connections on a start capacitor, that was stupidly positioned with the recess pointing up.

The current 2012 Jayco has had a flawless life so far. And I don't know if a warranty would cover the hole in the shroud from a squirrel, anyway!

I just replaced the exact same make and model on my 2016 31FK!
First RV was a 2008 and the AC was still blowing ICE cold.

I'm with you.
It's bullhockey!!!

I just replaced both of my Coleman Mach’s while on the toad. Luckily had a great mobile RV tech come to me while we were at Kings Dominion KOA in Virginia. Trailer Time. Guy was awesome to work with and fair. Was right before July 4th holiday week too. He told me new Freon change took place around 2015-16 and it runs at higher pressures, creating leaks. I am hoping they fixed this now a few years later. If it hit their standard two year claim budget I am sure they would have fixed it to keep warranty costs low. I didn’t get that extra warranty from Airexel either.

Airxcel gives you 90 days from the time you purchased the AC to pay for the extended warranty. I will wait about 60 days, then probably get it.

I would get the warranty. I have a 2014 Seneca with the 15000 Mach w/ heat pump. I just had number SEVEN
put in from Camping World under the factory warranty. My dealer[National RV ] was no help at all. Their tech said it was a thermostat ,which was wrong because I had a Moble RV tech checked it out with my help and said it was a bad compressor. I have a extended warranty but it was still under the factory warranty.
