Exterior Storage Lights with Timer?

After a week for storing one of my exterior compartment lights was on. I assume it was on all week. The compartment was loaded full so the switch probably got trigger by shifting cargo while driving. I need every bit of storage I have.

I rented a Cruise America couple years ago and one nice feature was the exterior cargo compartment lights had a switch that would time out. The light had a spring loaded lever not a toggle switch that sits in a fixed position.

Does anyone know makes/models of cargo lights that time out?

I've googled the hell out of this but can't find a thing.

Might consider just getting some stick up, motion activated battery powered lights. I have them in various compartments and closets, works great. Lots of choices on Amazon.

I just used plain old door jam switches. We have one large common storage area with many doors and I wired mine up so the new led lights come on when any single door is opened.

This is an awesome little programmable timer that has up to 2 triggers, I have used them on several projects.

Cool!!!

I bought the one that's temperature triggered. But I'll have to add one of these to the stable of doohickeys I'm accumulating!

I have 2 of them in my Seneca, one I use when boondocking to turn toekick leds on for 3 minutes when the entry door is opened, makes it nice for grabbing snacks and drinks and the kids don’t leave the lights on. The other one is a timer for a water circulation system that has an air switch in the kitchen counter and when pressed, opens a solenoid and the pump runs the hot water for 40 seconds to get hot water to the kitchen faucet, it circulates it back to the fresh water tank and saves a lot of water when boondocking.
