Factory Repair Appointment

Just a head's up in case you were planning to get your unit in for factory repairs before your warranty is up.

I made a factory repair appointment the other day. The earliest date I could get is 04/02/2018. I will be over the 24000 miles, but Jayco waived the mileage. They are more interested in the date. My 2 years is up in May. Jayco did ask me if I wanted to have them pick up the unit. I guess for a mileage fee they will do that. I declined since I am only 2 hours from the factory.

We have been waiting since Oct 6th and still don't have a date - were you able to talk to someone other than Mark?
We started this process in May and thought everything was scheduled and something happened and Jayco lost all of our information - we started over and now wonder if we may have to find someone else to talk to

WOW! Thanks for the info. That is a long time to wait. About as bad as getting an appointment to see a doctor at the VA. The good news though is that they waived the mileage overage. Ask them about the 2 year warranty being extended 5 months since you are waiting that long to get the work done. BTW, did you check with your dealer on getting the work done?

I first talked to Forrest about it on Friday 11/03. He emailed me a factory service request which I filled out and returned to him. He said at that time someone would call and schedule the appointment. On Monday 11/06 I checked with Forrest again and he said if no one called by Wednesday, to call him back. Mark called me soon after that on Monday afternoon and set it up. He said the earliest was 04/02/18. Which is fine by me. Since i have until then to find any other things needing repairs. Just have to email Mark an updated list of repairs. I am having some minor slide issues, and an area with soft floor and he scheduled me to be in the factory for 2 weeks. Heres Forrest's contact info. Maybe you could check with him.

Since I am having some slide repairs and a section of soft floor, I feel better taking it to the factory. My dealer is in Middlebury also, right down the street from factory.

Tom, thanks for the response and the contact info for the Jayco person you spoke to. Thankfully, our dealer has been wonderful in taking care of warranty work. We are coming off of a 16 day trip through Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, Wyoming (again), Idaho, and Oregon. We ran into some issues with water leaking into the motorhome when we retract the slide. Dealer has already set up an appointment for us to get this addressed.
