First voyage 2016 Greyhawk29KS

Brand new to Class C as we have been tent and Jayco pop up campers for a very long time. Traveled 240 miles round trip to Siloam Springs State Park in Illinois. First off very nice park with old growth pine, oak, and hickory forests. Clean restrooms and friendly campground host. We did learn that the shortest route on GPS takes you on some wonderful gravel lanes for at least 10 miles, so don't go that route and the GPS kept telling me I was speeding even when I was not. The only issue we had with the RV was that the oven ignitor did not work. I need to install a hasp on the outside fridge as our granddaughter did not shut it all the way resulting in some warm beverages. Overall great experience and we are looking forward to more travels. We appreciate everyone's posts and sharing their experiences with us!

Does the oven have a pilot light that needs to be lit?

The oven in our 2014 Greyhawk does have a pilot light that must be lit manually. The cooktop eyes have a spark igniter.

Wish the oven had a sparker, too. Tough on my back to get down there and light it. It always reminds me of something George Burns said when was in his mid 90s. "When I bend over to tie my shoes, I always look around to see if there is anything I need to do while I am down there."

I know some who has added the oven spark igniter mod. If interested I can post some info on it.

Had no idea one could be added. If you have some tips for doing so, I am interested. Thanks.

My RV Talk

This is a long thread and the first post shows the same sparker. Pictures and procedure start on post #17.
