Fitted Cargo Net or Covering for 2019 Redhawk Class C cab over/bed area

Hi There,
We are wanting to place a fitted cargo net or similar covering over the cab over/bed/storage area of our 2019 Jayco Redhawk Class C (Model 22 C SW). Our kitties would sleep in that area at night thus the cargo net/covering would need to be fitted and well secured. Additionally, we may decide to securely store light weight items in that area (not the kitties) while we are on the road. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Not sure if I can offer a great solution for the kitties and a net to keep them in. They are usually pretty creative when trying to escape.

But, regarding a net to hold stuff up there when rolling, we regularly throw stuff up there, and it really doesn't move around or shift, so you might not need it for that.

Thanks so much for replying to my post. You are right, kitties can be incredible escape artists! Also, it’s good to know that items placed in the cabover area don’t really shift much while rolling down the road!

How many kitties do you travel with? We travel with three cats and a dog.

For travel, I set up the dinette where the table is lowered and the cat crates are secured using a strap in the lower back and upper front. Since most of our dining is done outside we seldom use the dinette. After our Jayco factory service appointment in August I am going to modify the over cab bunk area so that I can secure the crates there instead of the dinette area. Currently after we park the cats enjoy the overhead for lounging around.

Get a crate. Metal or plastic they work and no damage from restless animals trying to get out. Safe travels

Enjoy the journey

EA37TS, thank you for the pictures and information. We recently fostered and adopted a litter of 4 kittens who are currently ~9 weeks old. Thus they are small enough to travel in a crate or two. The set up shown in your pictures could work well for us. As they are so young, we want to keep them contained throughout the night and occasionally during the daytime yet not have to spend more time than they have to in a crate. We bought a pet playpen which we currently use in the house for them plus will take camping so that they can securely be outside with us. I may purchase a smaller version of the same playpen to place in the cabover area for them to sleep in. These playpens are enclosed yet have netting so that they can see out. Litter boxes, kitty beds, food and water dishes will fit in the playpens as well. We do plan to get them out camping with us this summer and fall so they can become accustomed to doing so sooner versus later. Ought to be an adventure!!
