Flag pole ideas

Was wondering if I should have a local welder set me up or buy one of the generic holders online.

I have a new to me 29MV, no ladder on the back and looking for any ideas you may use currently.

Thank in advance!

You could get the 2" hitch receiver that mounts on your rear bumper and get a hitch flag pole holder to hold your flag. Your bumper could hold that.

This one has a mount that goes under a tire when you park.

Our friends had one similar to that... We were camped lakeside on dirt. We had a sudden windy afternoon and the wind was at the wrong direction as the pole kept banging into the side of their trailer and leaving some ugly marks - we discovered the damage after we got back to camp.

Our own situation is a little different, we mount our flag on our trailer that hauls our Toyota(Toad). I welded a steel tube near the tongue of the trailer, the flags mast goes into that tube with a pin to lock it in place.

and I don't have a better picture than this, of it all put together...

That's good to know, thanks. I did wonder how flexible they were in windy conditions.

We have a Seneca and I was worried about the pole hitting any part of the the bodywork. I fabricated a front mount that bolted to the frame through the bumper, using a 1 1/4” receiver tube. I then made an insert that moved the pole socket out about 12” from the bumper. It’s worked out great and never have to worry about it banging on the coach.

I grabbed a couple of pictures of the mount this morning...

now don't look at the paint, this is what 15,000 miles behind the Seneca in all kinds of weather does... Paint is coming soon once the daytime temperatures are good for painting.
