Flaking cushions

I have a 2017 29MV, have the cushion flaking problem. It looks like replacing is cheaper than redoing. Has anyone ordered new couch and or dining cushions. Can you please share what you ordered and any pictures? Probably selling soon and the way it looks would hurt value. TIA

My 2017 had a slice in the driver's headrest plus some cushion areas on the couch that had flaked off. After some repair research I ordered a kit from Amazon that allows you to patch leather and vinyl. I thought what the heck, why not try.

Trying to repair the headrest slice was a pain as it would flake as fast as I could dab the stuff on. It ended up repairing the slice mostly but looks like crap.

The seat cushions were another story. I dabbed the liquid on all the white areas that were showing and the end result was amazing. Even my wife with her eagle eyes couldn't tell where I had patched.

Depending on how bad your flaking is you may want to give something like this a try. Definitely cheaper than having a pro do a reupholster job.

Was curious what year did the flaking get corrected? While in the market to purchase a Class C, I looked at a 2016 Jayco that had the passenger seat head rest flaking only. My 2019 has no flaking anywhere.....

I have a 2018 29MV. The flaking started right after the warranty expired. The seats dinette and the couch/bed all stared falling apart. I tried covers of various types. They all looked bad and the flakes from underneath were all over the inside of the coach. I looked for replacement alternatives and none were suitable. We finally bit the bullet and had them reupholstered with better foam and a quality vinyl. It cost us $3800 to replace everything. It was worth it. The results are fantastic in looks and durability.

Our dinette seat started flaking due to an item was scraping it during a trip. I used Coconex and it worked like a champ.....a little difficult to match the seat color though.
