Flat tire on a dual set

Just discovered flat tire on the back driver’s side dual set. Is it safe to drive?

We were headed out to a campsite 79 miles away. About 2 hours away.

Thanks.

No, that would not be safe to drive on and you need to repair or replace it prior to driving. ~CA

Only to drive it slowly to a place it can be parked while waiting for the tire to be repaired.

You need both tires to carry the load. If you're only riding on one it is overloaded.

Flat tire

When I purchased my Entegra Odyssey from Jacksonville Florida I was told they had checked everything. When I returned home (180 Miles) I decided to check the tires myself. I found one of the back inner tires to have no air at all.

I learned two things from this. (1) Never trust an RV dealer and (2) buy a TPMS which I did immediately.

Thank you everyone, I didn’t drive it. I do wonder if the dealer sold it to me that way, bought last August. What’s a TPMS? Tire Pressure Monitor (Switch)?

katcatkmc, the TPMS is a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Usually it's a pressure cap installed on the valve stem of each tire. It sends the tire pressure to the monitor receiver. That way you get the pressure showing of each tire. You can set min/max pressures and temperatures so an alarm will sound. It will even work with a slow leak. I monitor ten tires with mine to include the two vehicle. Wouldn't leave home without it.

If I add TPMS valve-sensors, doesn't it throw the wheels out of balance?

No, not at all. The weight is very insignificant.

One of the lessons learned for me;
I picked up my class C in Orlando and drove back to Atlanta. Whole way back I was wondering what I got myself into b/c it was so unsteady driving down the highway. Later I found out one of the dually rears had 16lbs of pressure (extension valve leaked). I drove mine 400+ miles on one dually without knowing it. It didn't have any cargo in it though.. Since then added TMPS and some suspension upgrades to make it drive much better.
