Have looked at those as well and they rate higher than their GMC equivalents.

‘20 Redhawk 31F pulling ‘21 JLU

We have a 2020 Jayco Redhawk 31F and pull a ‘21 Jeep Willys Unlimited using the Blue Ox set up and braking system. Our normal MPG is between 9-7 MPG… when we tow it drops to about 6 mpg.

Invisibrake

We flat towed our 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with installed invisibrake and Roadmaster Sterling. Never had a problem since the invisibrake has a compressor which activates the brake pedal without having to load or unload a heavy unit on the drivers floorboard.

We've been happy towing a 2020 Ford Escape AWD. Bought our MH AND toad this spring. Set it up with the Demo Stay n Play Duo. Just flip a switch and turn on Neutral Tow mode in the vehicle menu and it's all set.

Love the fact that once I get to my destination I can average 42 mpg

Go as light and comfortable as you can. And flat tow no dolly. We have 2014 CRV,(last year they can be flat towed). Found one with 16K miles on it! We ditched the dolly after 5 years. Now, after a little over a year flat towing, I realize what a big mistake I made starting off with a dolly!

I’m unfamiliar with your toad. I towed a 08 smart car in the past but I bought a new toad 2020 Jeep Wrangler which allows me to simply put the transfer casein neutral with the key off so no battery disconnect was needed. When researching a new toad the options were very limited. So you are able to put your drive train in neutral this disconnecting the motor and trans from the driveline allow the tires to rotate freely. If not you will tear up something flat towing just put the transmission in neutral will not work as the driveline is still connected

Our first toad was a Chevy Colorado. It was easy to tow but you had to disconnect the battery and leave the key in the ignition in the ON position to unlock the steering wheel. I understand from my research that the battery disconnect is to keep the power steering from being damaged. That meant that I had to clip a cigarette lighter extension to the battery and run it in through the door to power our Blue Ox Patriot aux brake. We recently traded the Colorado for a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. No battery disconnect, there is a dedicated direct-to-battery cigarette lighter plug in the center console, and you don't have to leave a key in the ignition. Since we could use all the same Blue Ox gear such as cables, tow bar, and brake, the only expense was the base plate and wiring. Just as the Jeep people created the Rubicon with many of the modifications that serious off-roaders install as standard equipment, it seems they listened to the RV crowd as well and made it easy on us.

Flat towing

Our toad is a 2021 GMC Canyon Denali with Blue Ox Avail tow bar and BO base plates. I installed the Demco Stay in Play Duo proportional brake system, electric battery disconnect, auxiliary battery charge line and Curt rear light plug and play harness with built in diodes. Took about 5 days working 2-3 hours each day so that I didn’t overwhelm my self or screw something up. In the end everything worked out perfect.
We chose the Canyon to replace our 2018 F-150 SuperCrew so we would still have the ability to haul things in the bed and tow our utility trailer.

I tow a 2014 Honda CRV, automatic, all wheel drive. It's the last year you could tow it four down. Can't feel it behind a Redhawk 22C Chevy 4500.

Have been very happy towing my 2014 Honda CRV. Jeep’s are overpriced.

I see Jeeps a lot, and I've seen them recommended a lot.

If you don't need 4x4, I can speak to the Chevy Sonic. Dragged my 2014 for about 30k miles while moving RVs for $$. Has to be the 1.8L motor though; the 1.4L turbo has a different transmission.
