Flat towing set up

I will be flat towing a crew cab, 97 F250 4x4 SuperDuty, weighs in at 6400 lbs.

Local shop wants $3500 for a Blue Ox Aventa tow bar, base plates and SMI stay n play duo brake system installed in the F250.

Does this seem like a reasonable price? How challenging is it to install the base plate on the F250?

That is about what I paid for my Blue Ox and SMI stay n play setup to tow my Saturn. Actually a bit less than what I paid.

Yep. where they get you is on the "install". It's about $100 plus dollars an hour and depending on vehicle (my case 8 hrs on 2018 Equinox). = mucho denarro !
