Floor covering replacement

I have a 2008 Melbourne 29d motorhome and would like to replace the carpet with other flooring. It is my plan to remove the carpet up to the driver and passenger seat and from around the bed, except for the carpet on the slides and the edges in the bedroom. Has anyone done this and how hard is it to remove the carpet from the main floor including under the slides. I would leave the carpet on the slides. Any suggestions would be welcome. Mike...

I have not done this so I don't have first-hand experience. I did research this subject a while back and there are a bunch of YouTube videos showing people replacing the carpet in RVs. Some are using vinyl planks or vinyl squares.

I've replace the carpet in our 2007 Seneca.. Lot of staples. Other than that it was it was not that difficult. Just watch that the slide does not gouge the new flooring. I exercised the slide after removing the carpet and noticed scrape marks on the subfloor. We install a vinyl tile and we put carpet samples down when we bring the slide in. Best of luck.
