Floor Thickness??

I want to mount some dividers to the floor of the underbed storage my Greyhawk and was wondering what is the floor thickness? I don't want to use fasteners that are too long and will poke through the bottom of my floor and possibly hit my water tank.

I'm thinking 3/4".

Unless you can confirm it is 3/4” I would think it’s 5/8”. You can email Jayco customer service, give them your VIN and they can give you all the schematics including the floor material and thickness.

Ask for actual thickness. Example: use to be 3/4” wood was that. Now in some hardware stores display tag on the lumber says like 3/4” but below that they have actual size.

That’s always been the way the lumber industry has given dimensions for plywood thickness. They are industry standards.

Yep. Next time you come across a 2x4, measure it's width and height...

I believe the dimensions of a 2x4 have been reduced twice over the years. I recall reading something about the industry asking if they could knock off some more a third time.

Pretty soon a "6x6" will be a 2x2...

City building inspector when we had our house built three years ago said that if a knot fell out of a piece of wood it passes code as long as the board was still 2/3 its original width.

FYI, I contacted Jayco customer service to get the answer. I sent two email requests, about a week apart, and finally called the 800 number.

I was told, they don't know the exact thickness, but it should be at least an 1" to 1 1/2" thick.

I asked what material was used and couldn't get an answer.

If you have spot where the floor is under an open cabinet, or behind a wall in a closet or such with bare wood, it's much faster and easier to do what we do in rehabbing homes...some a 100yo or more where there's no ply, but dimensional planks: take an 8p common nail, drive it into the floor and flush the head. Go underneath and with a pocket knife or file able to set a nick in the exposed shank....make a scab right where the underside of the floor meets the shank. Tap it up, pull it and measure the scab to the head. No guessing.

If you email them, provide them with your VIN and ask for the schematics you should get a sheet that looks like the one below for my 2021 33RBTS. It may take a little time for them to reply but they will.

aluminum 90 deg angle

Would using aluminum angle to "sandwich" your dividers help.
More screws less depth. yes knowing the depth would be best but....
would make them removable as needed as well

FWIW, I used 3/4" fasteners to secure aluminum ~ 1/8" thick and nothing poked out from underneath.

Up front, I modified my theater seating recliners, and they were secured with fasteners that went over 1" into the flooring.
