Found this from Jayco yellow sticker

Well not sure if what they say on this sticker is true but I found this when I was looking for the total weight loaded should be. Your opinion on this sticker ?

Don't really understand the question. That is based on what the chassis can carry and what the rig weighed when finished.

That’s about right for a longer Greyhawk. I’ve seen stickers with 1200 pounds left over. Mine has 1723.

Thanks my thought was is that true they would fill the tank and lp gas's? If that is true boy when they say they will fill your tanks and so forth for a XXX dollar amount some is done before it even gets to the dealership. So they are making on that to. Wow....... We thought it was a decent price for the prep charge. Not so now.

That’s with a full tank of gas and propane. Nothing else - driver, people, water in the tanks, water in the lines, etc.

That is what it says on the sticker. The next one gives you the total amount of weight you can still put in is like 1600 + pounds yet. It does say the weight with water add 360 lbs.

Never seen a new motorhome on a dealer's lot with a full fuel or LP tank. The manufactures know the weight of gas, diesel and LPG and the size of the tanks on the vehicles. It is a matter of math to create the label.

If you have a reputable dealer they will be full when you leave. Both my 01 and 08 had full propane and full fuel tanks when I pulled off the lot. Even if they did fill the fuel tank at the factory it would be used up since it is driven for delivery.

Same rig we have. You have 1600 lbs of carrying capacity. Like already stated this is with full gas tank and Lp tank. For us this is plenty even after fill with water. Don’t forget to subtract your weight from the 1600 also to see where you stand.

The number that's missing is the GVWR. It's 14,500- the empty weight (12,836) + everything else you put on it, including toad hitch weight, can't go over 14,500. So if you're loaded up and hooked up to your toad, you go to a scale, and your two motorhome axles should be under 14,500.

Those stickers are usually accurate. Load the rig and get it weighted.

Wow! That’s a low cargo capacity! I always freak over my numbers on my Redhawk, but I have 2,943 without water. I always want more!

I learned the hard expensive way. The yellow sticker is important but its not everything. I had 2500+ on my Greyhawk 26y, but there was easily 800-900 pounds I couldn’t use. The rig was too short and the wheelbase too narrow for me to actually use all that weight; my rear axle was overloaded w/o trying very hard at all. 1000 pounds under the sticker, 400 pounds over the rear axle.

No, and I doubt if I rolled that way for many miles I would have either. But running it over the CAT scales all smug b/c I had all this weight - I was quite pissed when I read the ticket. We don’t pack heavy either - 8 - 10 gallons of fresh water, Helinox chairs, lightweight backpacking towels, etc.

My 29MV has much less sticker weight but a lot more room between the axles to put the stuff I’m bringing. I’ll probably bump right up to the GVWR but at least I can say all the weight was evenly distributed. No way I could’ve pushed enough weight forward in the 26Y to get full use of the weight the sticker told me I had. Even w/ the overhead loaded w/ stuff (which I really don’t like doing).

Yeah I hear you! Very rarely do you hear a salesman talk about cargo capacity! Unless it’s a super C, which I am really considering as my next purchase someday.

I ran the Accolade across a CAT Scale yesterday.

I thought I'd be close to the GVWR but I am under GVWR by over 2600 pounds.

The front and rear axle limits are 10,000 and 19,000 respectively with GVWR being 29,000 and GCWR being 41,000. Also, I had full fuel, 3/4 LPG, 2/3 fresh water, 2 adults, 1 dog and 3 cats in crates. It was also loaded with all our camping gear to include water and sewer hoses, chairs, patio mats, wind shelter, grill, portable table, clothes etc...

Here's the ticket.

Wow! Yeah you have a lot of cargo capacity there. LOL you said you were way under by being over 2600 pounds! I had to read it twice but I know what you meant.
