Fresh water tank

Why on my 2021 26xd are there three over flow hoses out of the fresh water tank? Usually only one.

Rather common on the 'hawks to have 3 overflow hoses. No one seems to know why, other than to prevent the possibility of pressurizing (ballooning) or vacuuming (collapsing) the tank.

I tied all three together, and included a shutoff valve to prevent water loss while traveling.

At some point I will forget to open the valve when I arrive at the campsite, or while filling the tank, and I will seriously damage the tank. I've heard of an instance of a tank being ballooned and lifting floorboards...

It must be spring! The great 'three vent line" thread is back!
Just kidding Lfeles. This topic has been discussed so much it could soon deserve its own sticky thread!

As Bullitt6283 said, no one knows why the tank has three vents, but the tank's wide and flat shape does allow water to slosh sideways while maneuvering and squirt out the vent lines. Stopping this waste of fresh water while allowing the tank to vent when it needs to is popular activity here.

Welcome to the team!
