Fresh Water Tank Leak??

I have a 2003 Granite Ridge 31SS and when crawling around underneath noticed what appears to be wetness under where the fresh water tank is. The material is damp and punky. The problem is I do not know how to access the tank and pipes to see where leak is coming from

Is it possible this is just humidity? If there's a leak best to get in there and figure it out sooner rather than later.

Is it possible this is normal overflow from filling the tank?

agree, ours has a valve at the top of the tank for overflow. and when filled too high it will drain for some time due to the pressure of the tank walls.

I am filling my empty fresh water tank. When the gauge reads 1/3 full, water overflows at my left rear wheel area. Am i filling the tank too fast or could there be a leak at that point of 1/3rd?

Perhaps your fluid level sensors are not accurate. The wiring for the 1/3 level sensor could be crossed to the FULL sensor. Can you see the tank under your RV? Is it possible to see how full it is when the water starts to run out?

You can check how much water is being pumped aboard. Check the flow of the hose you use to fill the tank. With a stop watch, time how long it takes to fill an empty 5 gallon bucket. Then time how long it takes to fill your empty fresh water tank at the same flow setting. If the total gallons is close to what your tank should take to be full then your sensor is wrong. If the total gallons is far short of the correct amount start looking for the leak.
