Fresh Water Tank Overflow Plumbing

Good day all.

On my 2015 Greyhawk 31DS there appears to be three overflow tubes from my freshwater tank. I would like to know if it is safe to plug two of these and put a shut off valve on the other. I am tired of loosing 1/3 of a tank of water while driving. Thanks for any info help with this.

If you are going to plug one then plug all three. Don't forget to unplug when you arrive. Are you sure all are fresh overflows?

Check out this link

I caped off 2 of the vents and ran the other one high above the tank, left it open and it solved my issue.

The only concern I see by capping a few off is during city fill. Using pressurized City fill (versus gravity fill) might put too much pressure on a single vent line. I doubt a single line can handle the back pressure when the tank hits max fill. This is why I believe they put in 3 hoses. 3 hoses would allow overflow from city pressure.

Last thing you'd want is to over pressure the water tank and possibly damage valves, tank or fittings..

I've taken to filling my tank until it overflows, then immediately switching valves to Normal, pump on, and running the outside shower for 15 seconds.

that seems to break the siphoning action.
haven't lost water since.

I have not had any issues while filling the tank at all and I generally shut off the water when it starts to come out the over flow pressure at my home is about 60 psi You could add in a pressure reducing valve when filling if that was a concern
