Front tv outlet 2008 Greyhawk

Hi All, we recently purchased a 2008 Jayco Greyhawk 33DS Class C. We have determined that the inverter is bad. We were considering taking the wire from that front tv outlet and putting it in electric panel? We understand that then we would need to be plugged in or on generator to watch the tv. We don't watch the TV much anyway but if rainy outside it is a nice option. Please advise on moving to electric panel? Thank you.

Why not just a junction box and connect the input/output side of the Inverter together? With that said are you sure your Inverter doesn't have a separate Transfer switch that is the problem?

Front tv outlet

Thank you Grumpy for your reply. I have always tried to avoid junction boxes. As for a transfer switch? I don't see anything before or after the inverter, would this switch be built into the inverter? My first choice would be to replace the inverter but they don't make that one anymore. The next sine wave is too big to fit in the spot under the bedroom drawer.

Many here on JOF with a Greyhawk have reported that their Inverter has a separate transfer swtich that is why I metioned it. Depending on what inverter you have it could be built in. Since it only runs the TV you could get by with a modified sine wave unit since that is what JAYCO is using for many installations. Not sure if this one will fit but this is what they have in several rigs.
