Front Wheels

I have two questions concerning the front wheels.
1) does anyone know the turning radius of the Greyhawk 29MV?
Found out yesterday it doesn’t turn like my previous Diesel pushers.

2) I’m attaching a picture that I took a few days ago when my coach leveled and the front tires came off the ground. Is this the normal looking angle of the wheels when the weight is off of them? Jimmyd

I understand that FORD made some improvements over the years. It took a football field to make a "U Turn" with our 2001...

I don't know the turning radius, other then to say it's much larger than I expected.

Our last coach was a DP as well. We downsized to simplify and reduce expenses. I didn't know I was going need a open football field to make a turn.

Our 31FK takes half a football field to turn.

Yes, that's what the front wheels do when unloaded. But most mfg's don't recommend leveling where any wheel comes off the ground.

As far as your front wheels toeing in when the front is lifted off the ground...well, that in and of itself is normal. With that said, I really can't tell by the pictures if your wheels are toeing in within reason.

"Give me forty acres and I'll turn this rig around...old Box Car Willie song. Sorry I couldn't resist.

I've gotten somewhat use to it now...don't seem to notice as much as I did. Definitely doesn't turn like my DP did!

Thanks for all the great answers. It’s pretty bad when your blocking half an intersection in Mississippi and folks are just scratching their heads. We had to do a few tricks but now know to find a much larger place to do our U Turns. Jimmyd

The steering angle is much less on a class c than a A. I find it’s much easier to maneuver my 40 foot A than my previous 31 C.

I agree with you totally. We had a Tiffin 45UP and I was able to swing it around in a tighter circumference than this 29MV. Didn’t realize that the wheel cut was that much of a difference. Now I do after blocking part of an intersection. . Enjoy the new ride. They are great machines when everything is working. Jimmyd
