fuel additive

I just got a 2017 Jayco Melbourne 24L Mercedes Sprinter Diesel.
What type of cetane booster fuel stabilizer is recommended and how often (every fill up?)

Welcome to JOF. I have personally never run any type of fuel treatment in my Sprinter.

What does your manual say? If there was a need the manufacturer would have that information out there for you.

Generally if your diesel is using a CP4 a lubrication agent will not hurt otherwise there is no reason to run additive.

Definitely check your owners manual or if it doesn't say check with cab manufacture, I'm guessing Mercedes..... For both my RV and my truck I use the Power Service White bottle a few time closer to the fall and into winter. I use it as a PM just in case the diesel I filled up with doesn't have the right amount of winterizer. So far so good. I always try to get my refills done at stations that truckers use, more flow of diesel less chance for water issues.

I was told not to run diesel treatment when I bought mine. He said that some could throw a code. I didn’t see in the manual that any additives were mentioned.

Here is what the owner's manual states concerning fuel additives (pg 320 of the 2015 manual)
